Executive Home Detox: EHD is our program. We are a Physician Supervised, nurse based program that provides one RN on site 24 hours a day for as long as the medical detox requires. We are the only program that will travel to the client's home. We are the only identified program that also has a Registered Nurse level clinician stay with the client every minute of their medical detox. EHD has been in existence since January 2007. Bill Carrick, the primary clinical nurse, is a Masters prepared Certified Addictions Registered Nurse. Home Detox Inc.: This program is located in Venice Florida, it is run by Norman Shewman. I have met and have a great deal of respect for Mr. Shewman. Home Detox, Inc. is specific to the Venice Florida and surrounding area. His model is an initial nurse visit for assessment and treatment options, and subsequent visits as needed during the day. He uses non-nursing staff to check in with the client as well. His program has been in operation for many years. His model is less expensive than Executive Home Detox. Norman presented at the International Nurses Society on Addictions in Atlanta, Georgia in 2008. Norman's program can be found on the web @ HomeDetoxInc.com

Home Detox; Alcohol and Drug Detox at Home. This is a program located in California in the following areas; San Diego, Orange County, and Riverside County. This program is specific to these areas. Their model has similarities to Home Detox Inc. The client is seen in a physician's office and subsequently seen by a nurse who will follow them throughout their detox. The nurse will make home visits. This program may be the longest running home detox program known. This program is less expensive than Executive Home Detox but more expensive than Home Detox Inc. Angels of Victory In-Home Detox Program: This is a program that comes up on many searches. Their website states they go to the client's home, but on a previous inquiry their spokesperson stated they only do detox in their home setting. The toll free number is out of order. Their local number is disconnected. This program alleges a physician involvement with 24 hour nursing care, but I cannot get verification. I have not been able to get any information about cost.
